The Tony Award-winning Utah Shakespearean Festival, located in scenic southern Utah, hires over 250 total positions for the summer and fall seasons, as well as technicians and managers for its touring production.

Applications for technical and administrative positions are accepted beginning October 1 for the following year. Applications for actors are accepted from July 1 to October 1 of the year prior to the season. Seasonal hiring is completed by March of each year.

Child Actors for The Secret Garden

The Utah Shakespearean Festival is looking for talented child actors to star in the 2009 summer production, The Secret Garden.

We are seeking two girl actors and two boy actors who are age ten or who can play age ten. The chosen actors will be cast in the roles of Mary and Colin, the two leading children’s roles.

Preliminary screening auditions will be held in Cedar City, Utah; Las Vegas, Nevada; and Salt Lake City, Utah. Please see the audition schedule below.

These preliminary auditions are open to all those interested in auditioning. Actors chosen during the preliminary auditions will be invited to call back auditions conducted by the Festival casting director at a later date that will be determined.

If hired, children must be available from May 13 through September 5, 2009 for the entire rehearsal process and summer season performance schedule. The child must live in Cedar City throughout the duration of the contact with at least one parent or guardian. Housing will be provided.
