The Guild of the Utah Shakespeare Festival is a non-profit service organization founded to serve, support, and promote the Festival. It does so through dues, fund raising efforts, and volunteer service.

Services to the Festival Company

  1. Welcome Barbecues: May 14 and September 6. These Guild-sponsored barbeques bring Guild members and the Festival company together for a great beginning to the summer and fall seasons. Company and Guild members are free; Guild guests are $5 each.
  2. Backstage Store: The Guild's "store" supplies household goods to company members for a low fee.

 

Guild-Sponsored Events

  1. Curtain Call Luncheons: July 1, 8, 12, 15, 19, 22, 26, 29, August 2, 5, 9, 12, 16, 19, 26,September 2, 30, October 7, 14, and 21. These luncheons feature informal discussions between patrons and actors and other company members. Information about the luncheons can be found on the Curtain Call Lunches page.
  2. Christmas in July Arts and Crafts Fair: July 29 and 30 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Randall L. Jones Theatre lawn. Guild merchandise and food will be available, along with numerous craft vendor booths.
  3. Guild Merchandise: Costume fabric “Quiltations,” gift shop items, and our famous hot dogs are sold at all events. "Quiltations" and Festival season key chains are also available at the Randall L. Jones Theatre Gift Shop.

 

Other Events

  1. Bed and Breakfast Garden Tour: June 25, 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Tickets are $8..
  2. Cedar City Arts Festival: August 27, 11 a.m. to 7 p.m., Randall L. Jones Theatre lawn. Guild merchandise and food will be available.
  3. Parowan’s “Christmas In The Country” Bazaar:November 25 and 26, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. in Parowan at the Iron County Fair Building. Guild merchandise will be available.

 

Membership

  1. Dues are $30 for individuals and $50 for couples. Further donations are welcome. A portion of dues and 100% of donations are tax deductible.
  2. The Guild donates all profits from activities, membership dues and donations to the Festival.
  3. Members joining by May 1 have names printed in the Summer Festival Playbill and Souvenir Program.
  4. Members joining by August 1 have names printed in the Fall Festival Playbill and Souvenir Program.
  5. In addition to opportunities to volunteer for the Festival, Guild members receive free summer and fall company welcome barbecue invitations, a reduced rate on the Curtain Call Luncheon series, and invitation to the Guild’s annual meeting on June 15 at 6 p.m. featuring festival company speakers.
