The application period for the 2012 acting company has ended and auditions are completed. If you are interested in the 2013 season, please submit application materials between July 1 and October 1, 2012.
The acting company consists of actors trained in classical Shakespearean theatre, musical theatre, and contemporary drama. Equity, non-Equity, and ensemble positions are available.
Performers are recruited by invitation to regional auditions on the basis of photo/resume and application (download below). Early applications are encouraged. The suggested application period for the following season is July 1 to October 1.
The Utah Shakespeare Festival operates as a repertory company. Our company’s strength lies in the concept that an actor plays a variety of roles. The artistic directors will cast all roles prior to arrival.
The majority of full-season company members must arrive in Cedar City on May 6. The first full company meeting will be on May 7. Rehearsal and construction dates are from May 7 to June 30. Some contract dates vary according to position. The majority of full-season company members are contracted through September 3 to allow for a company strike and housing checkout.

All positions are salaried and vary according to experience and training. Contracts include living accommodations and a travel stipend.
The Festival can accommodate a limited number of married couples or long-time companions only if both parties are members of the Festival company and prior arrangements have been made through the Personnel Office.
