Southern Utah University • October 1-3, 2015


The thirty-ninth annual Shakespeare Competition, hosted by the Utah Shakespeare Festival and Southern Utah University is scheduled for October 1-3, 2015. The competition gives junior and high school students from around the nation a chance to present material from Shakespearean literature in various artistic forms. This work is adjudicated by professionals in their fields, who also offer various workshops that can be attended for university credit.

Registration deadline: September 19, 2015
Mountain Time

The basic registration fee for each participating school is $200. Each additional competitive event is $75. Additional non-competing students are $5.

Shakespeare Scene Resources

The following files are resources that can be utilized by your students in finding scenes for Shakespeare study and performance. Meg Grierson, former Spanish Fork High School Theatre Director, has created the Competition Scenes List. The Excel file was created by the Festival Education department.
