Call for Papers

Submit a paper on "Politics and Performance

in the Middle Ages and Renaissance"

or on Shakespeare and early modern drama.

 

The Wooden O Symposium invites panel and paper proposals on the conference’s topic, “Politics and Performance in the Middle Ages and Renaissance.” Additionally, the symposium invites papers on any topic related to Shakespeare and early modern drama, but gives priority to those relating to the Utah Shakespearean Festival's 2010 summer Shakespeare plays: The Merchant of Venice, Much Ado About Nothing, and Macbeth.

Selected papers from the symposium are published in the peer-reviewed Journal of the Wooden O Symposium.

How to Submit

Deadline for proposals is April 1, 2010.
Session chairs and individual presenters
will be informed of acceptance no later than May 15.

Abstracts of approximately 250-words or session proposals (including individual abstracts) should include the following:

  • Author's name
  • Participant category (faculty, graduate student, undergraduate, aficionado)
  • Mailing address
  • College/university affiliation (if any)
  • E-mail address
  • Daytime telephone number.
