Every Thursday throughout the summer season, Utah Shakespeare Festival company members will put on a variety show to help raise funds for REACH, a program designed to aid company members find future employment.
The Cabaret is presented at The Grind, 19 North Main Street from 11 p.m. to midnight. Tickets are $10 at the door.
This year, the Cabaret will once again be directed by one of the original REACH Cabaret founders, Aaron Galligan-Stierle and by Festival Favorite Jason Michael Spelbring. They plan to bring back the raw excitement and "anything can happen" energy that was such a part of the first few years of the Cabaret.
REACH brings casting directors, agents, and directors from across the country to see the exciting work that is done here at the Utah Shakespeare Festival and to audition the Festival actors for upcoming jobs. The Cabaret is an essential part of the fundraising needed to make this happen.
Previous acts have included singing, dancing, instrumental music, impressions, skits, improv games, magic tricks, poetry, bird calls, juggling, staged readings, and more. The event is open to the public and 100 percent of the proceeds go to support REACH activities.
