An Artistic Initiative Fund was recently established at the Utah Shakespeare Festival. The new fund was initiated in conjunction with the announcement of David Ivers and Brian Vaughn as the new artistic leadership of the Festival. Created to promote the Utah Shakespeare Festival’s growth in artistic excellence, the fund consists of three major components:
The fund has secured a lead-off gift from singer/songwriter Michael McLean, whose Forgotten Carols tour donated an evening of proceeds to the Utah Shakespeare Festival.
The target goal of the Artistic Initiative Fund is $250,000 by 2013.
During 2012's Artistic Initiative week, over $11,000 was collected following performances and another $8,000 was raised by the one-night-only performance of Bardway, Baby!
Because of your support of the Artistic Initiative Fund, we have raised a total of nearly $103,000 since the fund began.
Thank you again for your generosity.
