Playgoers at the Utah Shakespeare Festival this summer loved the Festival’s regional premiere of Peter and the Starcatcher. Almost all raved about the production, and many are returning to see it again during the cooler, and less crowded, autumn months—through October 19.
For instance, Debbie said: "I have seen the play, Peter and the Starcatchers, twice this season. It is fabulous!!!! . . . It was just as funny the second time. FABULOUS!!!! "
Lorri added: "We saw Peter and the Starcatcher this afternoon with children and grandchildren. I can't remember the last time I had so much fun and laughed so hard. The cast was outstanding, especially Quinn Mattfield."
Many others agreed that Mattfield, as The Black Stache, as well as the rest of the cast, made the show one of the best they have seen at the Festival. Michael, Rebecca, and Samantha said: "Loved, loved, loved Peter and the Starcatcher! The funniest thing we have ever seen! Quinn is amazing and the ensemble cast is wonderful as well."
Jean, summed up the views of many: "Thank you, thank you, thank you for Peter and the Starcatcher. It was brilliant in so many ways, and the best new thing I've seen in years. . . . Peter and Molly were so fun and true; it was great to watch them grow. The staging was inventive, and I'll never think of mermaids the same way again. But most of all The Black Stache was pure joy and lunacy. Quinn Mattfeld is one of my favorites, and he was amazing—though we did wonder if those high heels were difficult to learn to walk in—especially with the tight pants."
