“On a brick wall have I climbed into this garden”
— Henry VI Part Two
Before we engrave your name permanently in granite, please let us know if it is spelled correctly. The deadline is September 19.
Since 1987, a number of you have purchased bricks for a planned Patrons Pathway at the new arts center for the Utah Shakespeare Festival. However, as the new Beverley Taylor Center for the Arts came into being, it became evident that the bricks could not be a part of the new center for a number of reasons, practical and aesthetic. But, we wanted to make sure that you and/or your loved ones receive the appropriate recognition in an enduring, stylish method.
Thus, we will be adding a Patrons Wall this winter to the new center. It will include all 2,700 names of those who purchased bricks in the past. Patrons Pathway donors will have their name or dedication engraved in granite on the wall just west of the Eileen and Allen Anes Studio Theatre, bordering the Simmons Family Plaza. This will memorialize your generosity for years to come.
The granite engraving is going to start soon, so we wanted to make sure you had the chance to proofread your memorial. To do so, please find your engraving by clicking on the links below; find your name(s); and, if a correction is needed, click on the "Click To Make Corrections" button. You will be taken to a form where you can submit any corrections.
- This is not a chance to purchase a brick or engraving. If you would like to have your name associated with the new center, you can purchase a seat in the new Engelstad Shakespeare Theatre here.
- If you had more than one brick with different engravings, please check all of them. If you had more than one brick with the same engraving on it, the name will appear only once; we will not engrave multiple lines of the same name.
- The deadline to notify us of any corrections is September 19, 2016 at 12 noon, Mountain Time.
Please take a moment now to click on the appropriate lists below and review your name(s). Thanks for your long-standing faith in the Festival’s expansion project. The Festival has the best friends and audience members in the world and we are ever grateful!
