"There are the players."
—Hamlet

Playmakers is the Festival's youth training program, including instruction from theatre professionals and a chance to perform in a special Playmakers production.

Spring Session

Junie B. Jones, the Musical

Because of construction on the new Beverley Taylor Sorenson Center for the Arts, this year’s Playmakers production will be different from those in the past: It will be a traveling production of the musical Junie B. Jones, the Musical to all the elementary schools in Iron County. In addition, the Playmakers will present one public performance on April 6 at Canyon View Middle School, starting at 7:30 p.m.

The show has been cast and will be traveling to local elementary schools April 6–8 and 11–15. The shows will alternate between morning and afternoon times.

Summer Session

Thesetwo week courses are for students six to seventeen years old. They include lessons on improvisation, collaboration, movement, voice, and more and focus on Shakespearean scene work, music, and dance. Each session will conclude with a production of a yet-to-be-chosen play.
