The Utah Shakespeare Festival Guild is a 501(c)(3) non-profit service organization founded to serve, support, and promote the Festival. It does so through dues, fund raising efforts, and volunteer service.

 

Services to the Festival Company

Welcome Barbecue

This Guild-sponsored barbecue brings Guild members and the Festival company together for a great beginning to the season. This year's event is on May 6. Company and Guild members are free; Guild guests are $5 each.

Backstage Store

The Guild's "store" supplies household goods to company members for a low rental fee.

Curtain Call Luncheons

Ask questions and listen to Festival actors during a delicious chicken/veggie fajita or pasta bar lunch. July 7, 11, 14, 18, 21, 25, and 28; and August 1, 3, 8, 10, 15, 18, 22, 25, 29 at 12 noon in the Southern Utah University Alumni House. 

$17.50 in advance through the Festival Ticket Office or online; $20 at the door.

Christmas in July

The Christmas in July Arts and Crafts Faire will be on the lawn facing 300 West Street directly across the street from the Randall L. Jones Theatre. Numerous art, craft, and food vendor booths will be available for visitors and locals alike. 

July 29 and 30, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., free to the public.

Costume fabric “Quiltations” and “Memory Globe” ornaments, roll-up “Pencil and Crayon Caddies,” and Festival season key chains are provided by the Guild and will be available at Christmas in July and the Randall Gifts and Gallery.


Adopt an Actor

For a modest donation, you can "adopt" a Festival actor, wear a lanyard with his or her name on it, write a message, and (if the actor agrees), write him or her a note. It's all in fun and a great way to support our amazing acting company.

Membership

  1. Dues are $30 for individuals, $50 for couples, $75 for families, $60 for businesses, and $15 for students. Further donations are welcome. All dues and donations are tax deductible.
  2. The Guild donates all profits from activities, membership dues and donations to the Festival. Over $51,000 was donated by the Guild to the Festival in the last two years.
  3. Members joining by May 1 have names printed in the Festival Souvenir Program.
  4. In addition to opportunities to volunteer for the Festival, Guild members receive free summer and fall company welcome barbecue invitations, and an invitation to the Guild’s annual meeting on June 4 at the Alumni House, featuring festival company speakers.
