The 37th annual Shakespeare Competition, hosted by the Utah Shakespeare Festival and Southern Utah University, gave out dozens of awards and scholarships to drama, dance and music students. The competition is the largest scholastic Shakespeare competition in the country, and this was a record-breaking year with over 3,000 students from 118 schools.
Junior high and high school students from around the nation present material from Shakespearean literature in various artistic forms. Work is adjudicated by professionals in their field, who also offer various workshops that can be attended for university credit.
The Utah Shakespeare Festival reserves the right to use images, video, and other recordings of students and schools attending the Shakespeare Competition for archival and promotional purposes. For more information, please contact the Festival at email@example.com.
