PlayTeam is one of the outreach arms of the Utah Shakespeare Festival; we send teams of teaching artists into Utah public and public charter schools to lead FREE workshops and events!
Teachers and school administrators can request workshops based on the learning goals for your students. We’ll build the workshop based on your specific request! We love working with students of all ages.
Examples of recent PlayTeam workshops:
- A workshop on exploring character perspectives, connected to a 4th grade classroom’s work on short-story writing
- A workshop rotation in a middle school that included an introduction to play writing, a brief history of the Globe theatre, and stage combat
- A full-school assembly about Dr. Seuss on National Reading Day
